Description
CpeF was biochemically characterized as the lyase that ligates the doubly linked PEB on Cys-48,59 of β-phycoerythrin in Fremyella diplosiphon (Kronfel et al. 2019). It is related to the Synechococcus-specific lyase-isomerases MpeU (Mahmoud et al. 2017) and MpeV (Carrigee et al. 2021) and the yet uncharacterized Prochlorococcus-specific lyase (or lyase-isomerase?) MpeX (Hess et al. 1999).
